Important: InternPick is a technology platform and listing service — similar to how a real-estate marketplace connects buyers and sellers. We facilitate discovery, communication, and paperwork between schools, students, and host employers. We are not a school, employer, placement agency, insurer, broker, or guarantor of any outcome. All parties use the site at their own risk.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of InternPick.com and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by InternPick (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and — where applicable — the Platform Facilitator Agreement at internpick.com/platform-agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of a school, district, host employer, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Electronic acceptance (including checkbox acknowledgment and digital signatures in onboarding flows) has the same effect as a written signature where permitted by applicable law, including the U.S. ESIGN Act and state equivalents.
2. Platform role — facilitator only
InternPick is a technology platform and listing service — similar to how a real-estate marketplace connects buyers and sellers. We facilitate discovery, communication, and paperwork between schools, students, and host employers. We are not a school, employer, placement agency, insurer, broker, or guarantor of any outcome. All parties use the site at their own risk.
We do not employ students, supervise placements, verify workplace safety, award academic credit, or guarantee that any listing, host, or opportunity is accurate, lawful, or suitable.
Any relationship formed through the Service is solely between the participating parties (e.g., school and student, school and host employer, student and host). InternPick is not a party to those relationships unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.
3. General responsibilities (all users)
- Provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure.
- Comply with applicable laws, district policies, labor rules, FERPA, child-protection requirements, and insurance obligations that apply to your role.
- Do not misuse the Service, scrape data, interfere with security, upload malware, or impersonate others.
4. Educator responsibilities (summary)
- Schools remain solely responsible for approving placements, supervising students, verifying credit, and compliance with state work-based learning requirements.
- School account owners accept the Platform Facilitator Agreement; staff acknowledge platform terms when joining via invite.
- Optional school student or host terms you configure are your district’s documents, not InternPick’s.
5. Host employer responsibilities (summary)
- Host employers remain solely responsible for workplace safety, supervision, wages (if any), labor law compliance, and their own insurance and waivers.
- Business workspace owners acknowledge platform terms when registering a company account.
6. Student & guardian responsibilities (summary)
- Students and parents/guardians remain responsible for conduct, attendance, transportation, and meeting school and employer requirements.
- Students join only through school invitation and accept InternPick terms during the invite flow.
7. No reliance; information “as posted”
Listings, badges, insurance summaries, program descriptions, and other content are supplied by users and participating organizations. InternPick does not independently verify that information unless we expressly say otherwise in writing.
You should not rely on the Service as a substitute for legal, insurance, safety, or academic advice. Verify all material facts directly with the relevant school, employer, or advisor before acting.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERNPICK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY PLACEMENT, INTERNSHIP, INJURY, DISPUTE, OR OUTCOME CONNECTED TO USE OF THE SERVICE.
INTERNPICK’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO INTERNPICK FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
These limits apply regardless of the theory of liability and even if InternPick has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InternPick from any claim, loss, liability, damage, judgment, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (i) your use of the Service; (ii) content or data you submit; (iii) internship, placement, or work-based learning activities you authorize or participate in; or (iv) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. School platform terms
Schools that create accounts also accept the InternPick Platform Facilitator Agreement at onboarding (including digital signature where required). The full agreement is published at internpick.com/platform-agreement and may be shared with district counsel.
The school account owner may delete the school account under Settings → Profile. Deletion removes school data from InternPick as described in-product.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or poses risk to users or the platform.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections apply.
Except where prohibited, you agree that disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Audience review
Role-specific provisions
The sections below summarize how this document applies to educators, students, and host employers. District counsel may review each block independently.
Educators — schools & staff
This section applies to district administrators, CTE coordinators, school account owners, and staff who access InternPick on behalf of a school.
You are responsible for configuring programs, approving placements, supervising students, maintaining FERPA compliance, and ensuring district board policies are followed. InternPick provides software only.
- Account owners accept the Platform Facilitator Agreement with a digital signature during school onboarding.
- Invited staff acknowledge InternPick Terms before joining; they do not replace the account owner’s signed agreement.
- Optional school student and host terms you publish in Settings are your district’s documents — counsel should review those separately.
- You must not enter student information until your district has a lawful basis and any required parent or guardian consents.
- Insurance badges and compliance summaries you configure are self-reported; verify coverage with your risk manager before relying on them.
Students & guardians
Students access InternPick only through a school invitation. The school decides eligibility, approves placements, awards credit, and remains responsible for supervision.
Guardians may receive consent or notification emails when the school enables guardian consent workflows.
- Students scroll through and accept InternPick terms (including student-specific responsibilities) before joining.
- If the school enables school student terms, students must also scroll through and accept that separate document.
- InternPick does not sell student data or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Report safety concerns to your school coordinator first; use in-product tools when available.
- Parents or guardians with privacy questions about data the school entered should contact the school; InternPick privacy requests: privacy@internpick.com.
Host employers
Hosts include businesses and organizations offering internships, mentorships, or work-based learning opportunities coordinated through a school on InternPick.
InternPick does not employ students, inspect your workplace, or verify your insurance. You remain the employer or host of record for site activities.
- Accept InternPick Terms when joining via a school invite; optional school host terms may also apply.
- Business account owners acknowledge the Platform Facilitator Agreement when registering a company workspace at /business/setup.
- Maintain workplace safety, supervision, applicable labor laws, and your own waivers or releases.
- Accurately describe opportunities, schedules, and supervision on listings.
- Do not represent that InternPick endorses your organization or guarantees student suitability.
Where InternPick collects acceptance
The table below maps each onboarding and invite flow to the legal documents presented and how acceptance is recorded. Schools may share this section with district counsel when reviewing InternPick alongside local WBL policies.
School-authored terms (student or host) are optional, configured by each school under Settings → Legal, and are separate from InternPick’s platform documents.
